AAPM American Academy of Project Management: 2024 Newsletter Exciting Expansion: New Offices in Beijing and Singapore! The AAPM is proud to announce the opening of two new international offices, strategically located in Beijing and Singapore. These additions will strengthen our global presence and support our mission to provide world-class project management education and certification. As we continue to expand, we are setting ambitious goals for the future, with plans to welcome 10,000 new members in the coming year. We are confident that these new offices will help us reach new heights, offering more opportunities for professionals worldwide to enhance their skills and credentials. September Highlights: Dr. Mentz’s Leadership in Asia In September, Dr. George Mentz represented the AAPM at the Global Economic Forum in Asia, where he engaged with business leaders, government officials, and educational experts. His participation included speaking on critical topics of global economic growth and innovation. In addition to his forum presentations, Dr. Mentz taught MBA courses to future leaders, focusing on executive education and advanced skill specializations. He also met with local mayors and officials to discuss the importance of executive education and the impact of specialized skills training on economic development. These high-level meetings further solidify the AAPM's role as a key partner in driving international business success through top-tier certifications and leadership programs. Accreditation Recognition The Board of Standards for IBS GAFM® and the AAPM CEC ACPA IMCB Certification Board continues to uphold its international stature as a premier accreditation body for certifications, recognized for meeting the highest standards. The GAFM/AAPM/IBS organizations are accredited and sanctioned internationally, including by the EU SIS, and are recognized by prominent bodies such as SIS Certification which is sanctioned by (International Accreditation Services) and IAF. GAFM IBS AAPM™ has achieved multiple prestigious certifications, including ISO 21001 for educational organizations, ISO 29993 as a certified learning services provider, ISO 9001 for quality management, and ISO 29990 for educational standards. The organization is also accredited by IAOS ( Accreditation Organization), QAHE, and ECLBS, and sanctioned by the UN-recognized Arab Academy, covering more than 20 Arab nations. Additionally, GAFM is in legal agreement on standards with the ACBSP accreditation agency, aligning with the National Business Accreditation Agency for Certification Standards in the USA and globally. As a founding signatory of the U.S. Department of Education's Council on Education Quality Assurance Standards (CHE/CHEQS™), GAFM continues to set benchmarks for quality education and certification on an international scale.
