As sustainability becomes a priority for organizations, project managers have been focusing on integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations into project planning. The growing emphasis on corporate responsibility and environmental impact has led many companies to implement green project management practices. In 2021, the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development encouraged project managers to align their projects with sustainable development goals (SDGs). Over the past few years, project managers have taken a more active role in ensuring projects are environmentally and socially responsible.
