Waiver of Exam Requirements

If you hold a diploma, master's degree, or have qualified Project Management training or experience, you may be eligible to apply for an executive waiver. If you're unsure, simply email your resume for a review. 

We Offer Executive Exam Waivers for Managers, Degree Holders, Military, DOD personnel, and others. Licensed Engineers now pre-qualify for eligibility. See our list of certifications.

To submit your resume, email it to resume@certifiedprojectmanager.org. You will only be charged if your application for Certification is approved. If your application is rejected, there is no cost to you. Once approved, you are required to adhere to our professional ethics and complete annual PM continuing education.

Instructors and Professors

If you are qualified to teach Project Management within the government, you are automatically eligible to apply for certification.

General Applications

If you possess an approved diploma and have 3 or more years of Project Management experience and/or relevant PM Education and Training, you may apply for our certifications:

• MPM™ Master Project Manager®
• CIPM™ Certified International Project Manager®
• PME™ Project Manager E-Business™
• All applications are subject to approval by the Board. - If you are prequalified based on your degrees, diplomas, exams and approvals, Make Payment Here NOW to receive your certification and member documents and become a Fellow of the Academy.

Certification Validity

Initial certifications are valid for 2 years. A nominal renewal fee will be required after 2 years to maintain good standing and continue as a member.
